Today is the Anniversary of the Organization of the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I think it's pretty significant. A handful of men and women testified of Joseph Smith's calling as a prophet of God and acted upon that testimony knowing that persecution would become fiercer.
Would I have done the same? Am I first seeking the Kingdom of God? I have to ask myself those questions every day and recommit to the Savior. For as Paul said in one of his letters, every time we forsake Christ, we crucify him yet again. I wish to be passionate for the truth, to feel that burning inside that taketh away all fear of men.
I am eternally grateful for the pionneers of the Church who established the foundation of the restored Gospel of Jesus-Christ.
