It's only 1pm and we are already exhausted. On Saturdays we train on our long runs, so today Levi and I both ran 14 and 18 miles, respectively.

I woke up at 6am, fed Eve and stretched to prepare for my run. At 6:3o, I was on the road with my mp3 player and enjoyed the dawn. The thing is that in Utah, it gets too hot by 10am to go running, so it is imperative to get an early start. I ran 6 miles in less than 50 minutes --which is incredibly fast for me! and cae back to check on Eve and to see if Levi was ready to join me. After a quick breakfast, we all were on the road, Eve strapped in her jogging stroller. She actually loves my morning runs and she doesn't fuss unless we stop for too long. Although it is more challenging to run with the stroller

(I can't swing my arms, there's extra weight and it takes more energy to move forward), it does have its perks: it has pockets and pouches to store our keys, water bottle, and snacks just in case. 18 miles means 3 hours of running non-stop; by the time we stopped, my vision and brain functions had decreased. Basically, I was in survival mode, pushed by motivation alone...the human body is amazing! Now, please don't ask why

we make ourselves go through this. We cannot give you a rational answer; the positive is that they say that if you can run 18 miles you can finish a marathon. We have 5 more weeks before the Logan Marathon, and we are doing well in our training. We devoured some lasagna for lunch and are planning on spending the rest of our Saturday in bed.

Since Levi is already incredibly skinny, I don't understand the motivation for runing extremely long distances, which is sure to make him near invisible!
You guys are insane! You are my heros. I can't wait to hear how you do in the marathon.
You really are crazy. I hate running up the stairs, let alone 18 miles. If I started running like that, (besides looking fabulous) my family would think I had had a head injury and check me into the hospital. Not that I wouldn't need it after running that far!
You guys are amazing! I am still so impressed that you are doing this and sticking to it! I think I would be dead at about mile 5. :) I can't wait to see how your marathon goes!
