I have been working for the past couple of weeks, and I am still adjusting to that role switch with Levi staying home. Getting up at 6:30AM is tough, especially during pregnancy, but I really enjoy the company I am working for at the moment. NuSkin is a direct-selling company based in Utah; it means that they don't sell their products in stores but through distributors, like MaryKay, the Pampered Chef, etc. They have a huge variety of products for skin care and nutrition (vitamins, minerals, supplements, shakes, etc.).
What I like most about NuSkin, however, is their international outreach agenda. They created a non-profit organization called Nourish the Children and through their research, they came up with a pack called "VitaMeal" which consists of rice and lentils packed with the necessary vitamins and nutrients to feed a child for 30 days. The distributors and employees can raise funds or contribute to purchase those VitaMeals that will be sent throughout the World to feed malnourished children (Malawi, China, among other countries). And for every 5 pack of Vitameals donated, the company gives an extra one.

Did I mention that as employees, they encourage us to familiarize ourselves with the products, so we get free facial care, shampoo, conditionner, make-up, creams, every single month? My job is to help distributors on the phone to order products they wish to sell to their customers and to update them on new products. I am seriously enjoying the perks as I never dare buy skin products.
Other than that, we finally finished filing the paperwork for Levi's permanent residency and will now be waiting for his work permit to take over in 3-4 months.
It is in times like this that we truly realize the influence of the Gospel in our lives: it gives us the hope we need to be patient and endure to the end, and it also gives us a better perspective to see how blessed we are even in times of trouble.

Ok, if you are going to work there you have two jobs as I see it. Make sure you get plenty of these two products: Fire Walker (excellent foot lotion -massaged in my Levi for those tired pregnant feet) and Ice Dancer (when rubbed on tired legs -- a tingling WONDERFUL sensation happens and it takes all the tiredness away) - thats job one - get those two products - job two -- MAIL ME SOME!
Wow, I totally understand not wanting to get up early in the morning, but it sounds like a great place to work and I would LOVE to get free stuff! What a blessing.
Hi! I found your blog through Carolines cooking blog! We'll keep you in our prayers - I had the worst time trying to get residency here/ my EAD. I work for Nu Skin too and I love it. The company's ethics are fantastic!
I loved working at Nu Skin. Please tell Tina that I say hi! :)
