I know I have not been good at blogging lately. The culprit: our backyard. I enjoy being outdoors, in our own little green (or rather brown) patch so much, that I spend all of my mornings there.
So far, we have successfully planted (not grown, mind you) oinions, carrots, sunflowers, parsley, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, and lavander. I'm planning on getting started with potatoes, melons, and strawberries. We are lucky to have inherited some blackberry bushes, but we did not feel so lucky to have to trim them.
We have found some pretty eclectic objects in our laboring : a hanger, a screwdriver, a little girl's blue hair tie, a penny farthing dating back to 1884 with Queen Victoria's effigy on it, but we have mostly managed to accumulate an impressive rock collection.
Well, toodeloo, you'll find me in the garden!

Okay, that is just so cool that you found such an old penny in your backyard! We've got some major stuff going on in the back and I can't WAIT to get a garden planted! Maybe you can give me some tips.
How wonderful to have some land to cultivate! We live in Wymount, so my "garden" is a potted daffodil sitting on my dresser. However, even that is hopelessly wilting. I have such a brown thumb!
P.S. It's great to have a class with you!
