Sophie is now 7 weeks old...and I am still so many pounds heavier than before my pregnancy, so I am back in the groove of running and swimming. Since two weeks ago, I go swimming every other day at the BYU swimming pool where I swim laps for 1 miles (64 laps). I started running this week: I bike to the BYU indoor track where I run 5 laps (1 mile) as fast as I can...at the moment, I run a 7 and a half minute/mile...on top of breastfeeding, I think I'm on the right track. I haven't seen much of a difference yet, but I'll keep you posted: regardless, it feels SO good to run again.
Now, on a less self-centered note, Levi finally sent his application to Medical School. He took the MCAT on the 17th of July and was intensely working on his letter of motivation. He's applied to 17 DO Schools, which are slightly different than MD Schools in that they include some courses and experience with alternative medicines and have a more wholistic approach to the human body; and he applied to 11 MD Schools. In about a month, Levi should hear back from the school interested in his candidacy: they will send him a 2nd application for additional information. Then once, they have considered the new information, they will invite him to interview (in October)...finally, we'll decide where we'll be next year and we'll know how much debt we'll be in!

I remember having to wait the six weeks until I could do mostly anything after having Daphne... it does feel good to run! And your mile is super fast!
John started DO school two weeks ago and is loving it! I'm excited for all you guys have to look forward to!
You are so inspiring to me Anabelle! I am so impressed. Keep up the good work. :)
Good luck with the medical school applications. Hope you guys get what you want...but I will greatly miss you!
Congrats on the new babe - and wow, you have an amazing exercise schedule! How do you even keep track of how many laps you've swam? I would definitely lose track!
I'm just putting in a plug for ATSU-SOMA - we love it here in Mesa, and I continue to be amazed with the program - it really is impressive. And Levi, you know how cynical I can be about school, haha. When you interview down here, you'd better stay with us. Good luck with everything!
I'm amazed at your exercise routine! Your mile sounds like a really good time. I'm sure you will see results in no time.
Good luck with all the applications! I'm sure it is exciting but nerve wracking having to wait to find out where you will be going and how much it will cost.
oops... I didn't realize Rosario's account was signed in. That was supposed to be from me.
7.5 minute miles at 7 weeks postpartum? I don't think I could run that fast BEFORE I was pregnant! You are such a high achiever, Anabelle...you never cease to amaze me! P.S. I want to see more pics of Sophie (and Eve). ;)
You are crazy! I can't believe that seven weeks after having a baby you are already worried about losing the weight. Every time I had a spare minute after #2... I seriously slept. For like 4 months. Way to make everyone else look bad. :) PS You probably look the same 7 weeks post partum that I look 18 months post partum. :)
oh yeah im so happy levi is going the holistic way, i am sooooooo into the that i totally beleive it is a much better approach to health then the whole medical way. Plus im thinking of studying to become a nutrionist so we will both be in the natural therapys industry!
