We are going CRAZY over here. Our lives seem to have been on hold ever since Levi went to interview at Warwick, in the middle of March. We're checking his email constantly while reading a forum for prospective students waiting to hear back whether they got in or not. This week, there were quite a few who had received an email from the school, so we waited for ours....and we're still waiting.
Last night, Levi sent an email to the admissions office since they specifically told him that they would not give him an answer over the phone, and when we woke up this morning, we got an email saying that we should call (!?) but the school has a funny thing about working only until 2 PM on Fridays and...you guessed it, it was 2:30 PM English time by the time we read that email. Which means another 3 days of hand-wringing, nail-biting, hair-pulling for us.
I literally went BALLISTIC and all of the anxiety and expectation of the past month surfaced and I let it out: I wished we had a boxing ring and gloves so I could go to town and get it out of my system, but Levi had to do. We had quite a (playful) fight session like we sometimes do when we need to get stress out of our system...but I'm thinking of acquiring a punch bag for when I'm totally enraged or out-of-control, for Levi's sake.
Sorry, I had to vent some more. Now for fun, here's a picture of a female cage fighter who "must hold back a bit sometimes"...since I can relate:
And the scary part: she also is a mother of 3 teenagers! If you want to read more, here's the link.
