Presenting...your dinner host

Last week, I started working for the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth. It's a 4-star hotel located about 2 miles from where we live. I have been hired as the dinner host which means that I greet the customers, check or book reservations, and show them to their table. If it is a slow night, then I get to help the staff get and serve the food. Honestly, it has been really fun to work in the evening as it gives me a chance to get to know people and interact with customers from all over England (and Europe). I am still getting used to standing on my feet all night, but when we're busy, I don't have the time to think about it. Also they have a great system for the night staff: if you finish work around 11-11:30 PM, they have a mini-bus who drops you off at your doorstep (for those of us who don't have a car). Here are a few more pictures of the hotel:
So if you're looking for a nice place to stay in the vicinity of Birmingham, Coventry, and Stratford-upon-Avon, I highly recommend our hotel. Plus it would give me a chance to personally see you and serve you!

Seriously now, this job is a blessing for us because it allows me to work in the evening and be home before midnight. Levi starts Med School on Monday (Hallelujah!) and he won't have to work at the pub anymore (he did for 2 weekends!) and I'll get a free stay in the company's hotels (21 in total) after a year's work (yay for perks!)...

I'll post some pictures of me wearing the uniform as soon as it arrives!

Oh wow!!! So if I ever manage to make it to England to visit you, do you think I'd get a discount at the restaurant since I know you? ;0)
