Primary

Since May, I have been serving as the Primary Secretary of our ward and I cannot say how much I LOVE my calling. It consists on filling in the gaps and keeping things running during Primary: it's a behind the stage calling that makes me feel so useful and needed.

Since I did not grow up in the Church, it's all new to me: I enjoy conducting, but I do need to ask the Presidency about procedures and timing...the older kids seem to know the program better than I do! Nevertheless, they are so lovely to watch during sharing time and singing time, and it gives me warm fuzzy feelings when they come up to offer a prayer, share a scripture, or give a talk.

When I was set apart, I was blessed that I could see the primary children the way our Lord Jesus Christ does...I wonder how much time the Lord spent with nursery kids! All jokes set aside, I do see how wonderful and unique each child is: "Blessed are the little children, for the kindgom is theirs."

Primary is totally where it's at! I'm in the Primary in our ward and I really love it too. Kids are so unpredictable and close to the Spirit - great qualities.

I am sure you are a great asset to the primary program. That does sound very enjoyable.

What a great calling! Despite my age, I have only served in RS. Maybe some day I'll get a taste of the spiritual feast, not to mention the amusing pleasantries, that you get to experience now. Those kids must adore you, Anabelle!
