Oh Happy Day!

Oh joy! Guess what we received through the mail today? That's right! Levi's work permit! He is legally able to apply for jobs and work as many hours as he wants or needs to ;) I will no longer have to anxiously check the mailbox twice a day and we'll now return to a sense of normalcy after going through a period of cabin fever. It's been nice having my mom for a couple of months to keep our minds off our stressful situation.

The Sunday she left, we drove her to the SLC airport and were almost home when our van broke down. Thankfully we had gotten off the freeway a few minutes earlier and were less than a mile from home. We didn't have cellphones so we could not call for help, therefore, I walked home with our two girls, one in a stroller, the other in the kangaroo pouch and called a friend to help Levi tow the car. I did not write about this incident earlier because I was too discouraged; however, a friend in our ward is a good mecanic and he managed to repair our car. I am seriously impressed by those who can fix cars or even know what they are looking at under the hood.

So this is good...we're looking up and the sky is blue, the sun is shining!

Yay for you guys! Glad it finally came through! Governments are so frustrating to work with. And sorry about the van. We've all been there. It's the worst feeling every. Yay for skilled friends!

That's wonderful news about Levi's work permit! Congratulations, Selways! And what a blessing that your van didn't break down before going to the airport, at the airport, or on your way back on 1-15! It's amazing to me how the Lord protects us in the midst of our trials and sometimes lessens the blow of bad things. Hope your van is back on the road again in no time!
