Happy Birthday, Eve!

Eve has been talking about her birthday since April...by the time October rolled around, there was no way we could make it a surprise. She counted down the days until the 10th, giving us frequent reminders, just in case we may forget!
We invited 7 of her friends and cousins to celebrate the event and we're so happy they came! The fun thing is that her birthday conveniently fell on a Saturday, so we did not have to duplicate the celebration...Here are a few pictures of that MAGICAL day:
The night before, Levi and I decorated the kitchen and turned it into the Hundred Acre Woods (Guessed the theme yet?), so when Eve woke up she was enraptured by the transformation. We had crepes for a "formal" breakfast...
Afterwards, she played with Sophie and all the balloons while we were making the preparations for the guests:

The party started with a painting activity and puzzle making of Winnie the Pooh characters...

followed by the beating of a pinata (when our batteries unfortunately ran out)

We then had cake (made and decorated by the Macey's bakery) and ice-cream...

and then the "kids" raced their bike/trike or played soccer in the backyard

For the grand finale, we released about 50 balloons that they happily popped in less than 5 min.

More to come on "Mommy's thoughts".

You went all out on this party, Anabelle! What fun! P.S. Eve is going to be chased by all the boys when she is older--she is so BEAUTIFUL!
